High Density Housing / Commercial - Addition / Alteration - Interior alterations to modify the existing fire alarm system triggered by the automatic elevator recall of two elevators in this existing 8-storey Municipally Designated Vancouver Heritage 'A' commercial (hotel) building on this site as per VBBL Bulletin 2018-004-BU/EL and B44-16 as follows: · The existing addressable single stage notifier fire alarm system to be expanded to suit the automatic emergency elevator recall function. · Existing smoke detectors will be reprogrammed for elevator recall function. Provide (1) new smoke detector in the basement and (1) new smoke detector at the top of elevator shaft. · Provide new fused disconnects for the elevator controller and cab light. · Provide new #6 ground wire. · Provide new telephone line to elevator machine room. · Provide & new addressable relays in elevator machine room. · Replacement of existing receptacles with new GFCI type in elevator machine room and pit. · Replacement of existing lights with new vapour-proof LED type fixtures in the elevator machine room & pit. · Verification of the fire alarm system in conformance with CAN/ULC S537.
